At the start of the year, Tshepe sustained a knee injury and was compelled to undergo an operation.
He was ruled out for the rest of last season. Tshepe has been working feverishly behind the scenes to get back to action.
The talented midfield dynamo is closer to getting back to action again.
“The recovery is coming along nicely. I’ve been out for about eight months now. For the past six months, I’ve been doing rehab. Slowly but surely, I’m getting there. I’ve started running now. I believe in the next six weeks, I’ll be eligible to play,” Tshepe explained.
‘Stitch’, as he is affectionately known to the masses in the football fraternity, has been out of action for eight months.
“My family has helped me during this turbulent period. I won’t forget my teammates. They have been pushing me to work hard. I want to come back and play. They have indicated that they miss playing alongside me. That’s encouraging. That is a motivation on its own to put effort into everything that I do. Even when I’m home. I push myself to the limit. I want to come back earlier than expected,” he added.
Tshepe joined the Rockets from Black Leopards at the start of the 2020/21 season.
“It has been challenging, I must say. At first, it was frustrating because I’ve never been out for so long. Having to sit outside and see the guys playing without me being in the field, has been frustrating for me.
Tshepe is a nightmare to mark on his best days.
“At first, I couldn’t run, I couldn’t walk. My knee was swollen. I had to get my knee fixed.” Tshepe explained.
His presence will certainly make a huge difference for the Rockets.
