TS Galaxy FC has turned Mbombela Stadium into a fortress.
After acquiring the Premier Division status of Highlands Park, the Rockets were compelled to move from Kameelrivier to Mbombela Stadium.
The iconic stadium is eligible to host Premier Soccer League (PSL) football.
Galaxy has turned Mbombela into a fortress for opposition teams. The club started last season like a house on fire dispatching AmaZulu 1-0 thanks to a well-taken header by Wayde Lekay in the opening home game of the season.
The Rockets never looked back after amassing that victory. Swallows traveled to Mbombela unbeaten in the league at the start of the year.
The masses were adamant the Birds were set to stretch their unbeaten streak in the league but we smashed that record winning 2-1 on the day.
Immediately after that match, we got the better of Orlando Pirates in the same venue. Masilake Phohlongo scored the solitary strike for us on the day.
Tomorrow, the Rockets will be eager to start on a positive note against Kaizer Chiefs. The game will be at 5pm on SuperSport PSL (channel 202).
The lads are oozing with confidence heading into this titanic battle. They have been working diligently at training preparing for the new season.
The club also bolstered the squad with nine new signings.
