TS GALAXY SHARES THE SPOILS WITH PIRATES AT ORLANDO STADIUM

TS Galaxy showed that they are no pushovers as they came from behind to share the spoils with Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium this afternoon in a highly contested DSTV Premiership clash.

The game was played at the frenetic pace as both sides asked questions at each other. It is ended in a 1-all stalemate.

The Buccaneers broke the deadlock as early as 11 minutes. Bongani Sam put the Sea Robbers in the lead.

It was a well worked move initiated by Fortune Makaringe. Sam was at the right place at the right time to get the better of Marlon Heugh between the sticks for the Rockets.

Masilake Phohlongo restored parity for the Rockets in the 20th minutes. Luckyboy Mokoena delivered an exquisite cross in to the path of Phohlongo who was making his debut. He showed great composure in the box as he notched up his maiden strike for Galaxy with a thumping header.

The game went in to the interval with both sides still deadlocked at 1-1.

Makaringe and Bathusi Aubaas got some half chances but they both failed to rattle the net before the interval.

The woodwork came to our rescue in the 69th minutes when Deon Hotto hit the post after taking on Gerald Modisane on the right and side.

Both sides pushed hard for a winner with long range shots but unfortunately the spoils were shared at Orlando.

The Rockets moved to 12th on the log with 12 points after 13 games. Our next assignment is against Black Leopards on Saturday at Thohoyandou Stadium in Venda at 5pm.
