TS Galaxy is aiming higher in the DSTV Premiership

TS Galaxy Football Club has achieved the impossible in the past.

The Rockets became the first team in the history of South African football to win the Nedbank Cup while campaigning in the lower division.

Galaxy won the Nedbank Cup against the mighty Kaizer Chiefs at the splendid Moses Mabhida Stadium back in 2019.

No one expected Galaxy to achieve this feat. Can the Rockets make history again by going all the way in the DSTV Premiership? TS Galaxy FC President, Tim Sukazi believes that anything is possible.

“Number one, the goal is to collect as many points as we can. We are in a competition. We are not in a charity initiative but we are competing in the competition. It is a 16-team competition. What are the teams competing for on matchday basics? It is three points. Every game, we are playing we want to go in and get three points. After all, you want to have the most number of points after 30 rounds of matches. That’s put you in a number one position off course. That’s what you would want. It is a lie. There’s no one who doesn’t want to be there. Don’t believe it, it is a lie. Every club want to do well,” Sukazi explained.

The Rockets are currently 5th on the log with nine points after five league matches. They are yet to suffer the loss. Galaxy are also yet to concede.

On Saturday, they will face Cape Town City at Mbombela Stadium at 8 pm in the DSTV Premiership tussle.

“If you say, you’ll give them 75 points, they will say, yes. They want them but the way to get them is to mountain to climb. It is a competition. We want to be the best club in the league this season. Not only TS Galaxy, everyone else want to do well and be the best team in the league.” Sukazi elaborated.
