TS GALAXY EARNS A VALUABLE POINT AWAY FROM HOME

TS Galaxy FC kept the unbeaten run away from home in 2021 intact this afternoon after sharing the spoils with Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The game ended in a 1-all stalemate and the Rockets stretched their unbeaten run on the road in the new year to four games now.

The Rockets have amassed eight points in four matches away from home in 2021.

The club has recorded two draws (1-1 against Orlando Pirates and 1-1 against Chippa United) and two victories (3-0 against Maritzburg United and 3-0 against Black Leopards).

Away from home, we dominated possession and created numerous goal scoring opportunities but the likes of Lindokuhle Mbatha, Mxolisi Macuphu and Wayde Lekay couldn’t find the target.

The game went in to the interval with both sides still deadlocked at 0-0.

Bathusi Aubaas fouled Anthony Laffor in the box and was penalized. The foul occurred inside the box and Andile Mbenyane stepped up in the 63rd minutes to rattle the back of the net.

Four minutes later, the Rockets were back levelled. Mxolisi Macuphu was fouled in the box and Mbatha raised his hand and slotted the penalty in to the back of the net. He sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.

The lads continued to probe and ask some questions as we searched for the winner.

Unfortunately, it didn’t come and we had to settle for the share of the spoils.
