TS Galaxy Football Club has written to the Executive Committee of the National Soccer League demanding answers for the barbaric behavior that was displayed by Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium.
On Monday, the President of the Rockets, Tim Sukazi wrote to the Exco of the NSL to investigate the matter.
Sukazi was manhandled at Orlando Stadium on Saturday. He was denied access to the changeroom even though he was in possession of his accreditation which allows him access to the field and the changeroom.
Despite his accreditation written all access the stadium security wouldn’t let him enter the changing room and instructed that he goes to the VIP area because club bosses are not allowed inside the changeroom at Orlando.
That resulted in a scuffle outside the door tunnel. The TS Galaxy FC president made an effort to reach the acting CEO of the League, Miss Mato Madlala, but his attempt proved futile as her phone rang unanswered.
Mr. Sukazi then decided to reach out to the chairman of Pirates and the Premier Soccer League, Dr. Irvin Khoza. During a telephonic conversation, Dr. Khoza asked if he is in possession of his accreditation and he replied ‘yes’ and instructed that he only access the changeroom, and Mr.Sukazi accepted that as a compromise.
The security guard continued with the telephonic conversation and after hanging up the phone, he told Mr.Sukazi that he had been instructed not to allow him into the changeroom. A few minutes later, the door was locked.
