TS Galaxy Football Club has amassed three clean sheets on the trot at the start of this new year.
Pogiso Sanoka has been instrumental in keeping those clean sheets.
When the Rockets got the better of Swallows FC at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto, the 29-year-old defender walked away with the man of the match gong for his vigilant display.
Speaking with the TS Galaxy FC website, Sanoka is elated that they are now resolute at the back.
“It’s been a team effort. The guys have been impressive. Defenders are judged by clean sheets. It is very difficult to be recognized as a top defender if you don’t keep those clean sheets. That’s what motivates us as defenders. We want to keep those clean sheets,” Sanoka explained.
The Rockets are yet to be broken in the last 270 minutes. They have beaten Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup and swept past Swallows FC 1-0 before sharing the spoils with Usuthu in a 0-0 stalemate.
“Our technical team has done a great job. They have made our jobs easier. All we have to keep doing is to stick to basics,” he added.
Galaxy is slowly but surely moving away from the relegation zone.
“We know what we need to do to come out of that position. Every player at the club has improved. We have to take one game at a time.” Sanoka concluded.
