Masilake “Scara” Phohlongo has been withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana camp after testing positive for the coronavirus.
This was confirmed by the South African Football Association (Safa).
The talented left-footed player was instrumental for Bafana. His withdrawal is a huge blow for the South African senior national side.
Bafana will battle for supremacy against Senegal in the final of the Cosafa Cup tomorrow at 3:30 pm.
After five games, Bafana is still unbeaten and is yet to concede. Phohlongo will quarantine for 10 days and then test again before joining his teammates at TS Galaxy Football club.
Speedy recovery Scara and we have no doubt that you’ll come back strong.
