Parker is feeling at home at Galaxy

Bernard Parker is feeling at home in his new journey with TS Galaxy Football Club.

The former Bafana Bafana international penned a two-year deal with the Rockets this past weekend.

The 36-year-old still boasts the burning desire to achieve more his glittering career.

“I want to thank the chairman for giving me the call. He was surprised that I don’t have a team. He got in touch and explained how much he valued me and what I can bring to the team. I appreciate that and I’m grateful. I have good memories of playing against TS Galaxy and worse memories of playing against TS Galaxy. I will think more of worse memories. TS Galaxy is a giant baby,” Parker explained.

He started training with Galaxy on Wednesday.

“This is home. I immediately feel at home. It is a great atmosphere. I’ve received a warm reception. I’m looking forward to greatness. The team is showing signs that they can challenge. They can compete against any team. They have shown it in the last two matches against two big teams,” he added.

Parker is the third highest top goalscorer for Bafana Bafana with 23 strikes in national colours. He won all the domestic titles during his stint with Kaizer Chiefs.

“It is a new start, it is a new home. I have to be myself and contribute with my experience. I’ve played at the highest level from the World Cup to the Europa League. I’ve played for Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs. I have to share my experiences. I want to continue with my journey. Hopefully, this young energetic team will learn from me.” Parker concluded.
