TS Galaxy wants to end the 2020-21 DStv Premiership season in style by finishing in the top eight.
The Rockets are competing in their debut season in the elite league and they have punched above their weight.
After 29 league outings, the club is currently 8th on the log standings with 35 points.
Head coach, Owen Da Gama has explained why it would be an achievement for Galaxy to finish in the top eight.
“Well, I feel like the team has definitely made great strides. Yes, we have the opportunity to end in the top 8 which is great,” Da Gama elaborated.
Galaxy are no strangers to making history. They still remain the only team in South African football history to win the Nedbank Cup while competing in the lower division.
“This is TS galaxy’s first season in the PSL so that would be an ideal achievement especially for me and the technical team members after having taken over the team which was in the relegation zone after 10 games, and plagued with injuries,” he added.
Galaxy has a date with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday at Mbombela Stadium in the last game of the season.
“To finish in the Top 8 is a reflection of what we are building and a positive projection for the future of the team.” Da Gama concluded.
