One of the longest-serving players at TS Galaxy FC, Sihle Nduli, has vowed that the Rockets will turn their fortunes around in the DStv Premiership.
It’s been a dire start to the season for the Rockets in the league. After 13 games, the club is lying 15th on the log standings with nine points.
The KwaMakhutha-born midfielder has been with the Rockets since 2015.
He played a pivotal role when Galaxy defied the odds beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final at the iconic Mbombela Stadium.
He dished out a man-of-the-match performance on that memorable night.
“It is painful to be at the bottom. I don’t want to see this team getting relegated. I started with TS Galaxy FC back in 2015 when this club was established. I’ve been with Galaxy in all the ranks from the ABC Motsepe League, GladAfrica Championship and Caf Confederation Cup. I’m happy that we are starting to get the results at home,” Nduli explained.
On Tuesday, the Rockets will lock horns with Chippa United at Mbombela Stadium at 5:30 pm in a DStv Premiership tussle.
“This team has a lot of support. They haven’t been happy that we are not getting the desired results. We will continue to work hard and try to get as many three points as possible. They [the supporters] deserve to be happy,” he added.
Galaxy is unbeaten in their last three encounters at home. All the nine points that the club has amassed have been collected at home.
“Personally, I want to play more games this season. Last season, I didn’t feature that much.” Nduli added.
