TS Galaxy FC captain Given Msimango is still searching for that elusive maiden silverware in top-flight football.
The lanky defender rose to prominence back in 2017/18 during his stint with Highlands Park.
In 2018/19, Msimango missed out on the MTN8 triumph when the Lions of the North succumbed to defeat at the expense of SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup final at Orlando Stadium.
That would have been his first piece of silverware but unfortunately, it wasn’t to be at that time.
Speaking with the TS Galaxy FC media department, Msimango revealed his burning desire to win silverwares with the Rockets.
“I’m hoping to achieve success with the club and obtain those silverware. I want to continue working hard. I would love to win silverware with TS Galaxy FC,” Msimango elaborated.
Msimango is set for his 5th season in top-flight football.
“I’m a professional footballer and I haven’t won any silverware since I won the National First Division with Highlands Park. I would love to obtain silverware in the top flight of South African football. It will be good for my profile and my career to say I’ve achieved something with this club,” he added.
The Rockets will open their account against AmaZulu on the 7th of August 2022 at Mbombela Stadium in the Dstv Premiership. The kickoff is at 3 pm.
“I want to do well for the team over and above everything. We want to finish in a much higher position than last year. We aim to improve. That one percent is important.” Msimango explained.
Galaxy reinforced their squad with the duo of Sibusiso Vilakazi and Xola Mlambo in this current transfer window.
The club also cut ties with the likes of Sihle Nduli, Ethan Brooks, Augustine Kwem, Mthobisi Mngomezulu, Karabo Tshepe, and Wayde Lekay.
