Igor Makitan has featured in two matches for TS Galaxy FC at the back and his contributions are proving to be immense for the Rockets.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international made his official debut for TS Galaxy against Kaizer Chiefs at the iconic Mbombela Stadium last week.
He inspired the Rockets to their maiden clean sheet of the season. Makitan also featured as Galaxy succumbed to their first defeat of the season – against Stellenbosch FC at Danie Craven Stadium.
After going down to 10-men, the Rockets fell to a 1-0 loss with Ashley Du Preez netting the only strike of the match.
“It is great that I’ve made my debut for TS Galaxy FC. I’m satisfied with the fact that I’m playing regularly for the club,” Makitan explained.
After two matches, Makitan is already showing signs that he will be a vital cog for the Rockets at the back.
“The South African league is very demanding. I’m happy that I’ve adapted quickly in the country but I think I can always get better. Everyone at the club has been great. They have helped me to adapt. I want to thank my teammates for that,” he added.
The lanky defender is enjoying his time in Mzansi.
“South Africa is an interesting country with great people. It is a beautiful country and I’m already loving every minute of it.” Makitan added.
