TS Galaxy starlet Macbeth Mahlangu has received a national team call-up.

Mahlangu will be on the plane to the United Emirates Arab next month when the South African Under-23 squad travels to the Middle East to face Brazil, South Korea and Argentina in three friendly matches.

The SA-Under-23’s are currently preparing for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Mahlangu has been impressive for the Rockets at the heart of defence.

His vigilant displays haven’t gone unnoticed. Mahlangu is also one of the contenders for the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season.

At the age of 19, Mahlangu has matured quickly and performed like a seasoned professional.

As a result, he is now a vital cog for the Rockets at the back. He has featured in 21 league matches in the current season for a total of 1 827 minutes.
