The Rockets are winless after two games. We shared the spoils with Kaizer Chiefs in our opening game of the season before succumbing to a defeat against Stellenbosch FC before the Fifa break.
On Saturday, we have a date with Lamontville Golden Arrows at Mbombela Stadium at 3pm.
“The win is important for the club. We haven’t won in two games. We’ve drawn and lost against Stellenbosch. We also want to get off the mark on the scoreboard. We are yet to register a goal,” Kwem explained.
The Rockets are not searching for only their first win of the season but also their first goal of the season.
“We did well in our first game against Kaizer Chiefs. Unfortunately, we couldn’t pick up maximum points. Looking at what happened against Arrows last season (they defeated us 3-0), we must have revenge in mind.
Kwem and the likes of Mohammed Anas, Mthobisi Mngomezulu and Mxolisi Macuphu have been working tirelessly at the training pitch to refine their goal-scoring prowess.
“Every strikers’ goal is to get off the mark as soon as the first game. If it doesn’t happen and then you have to do it by the second or third game. If I’m to feature in the game, I hope to do well.” Kwem elaborated.
