TS Galaxy FC talisman Augustine Kwem has set his sights on breaking his duck against Orlando Pirates.
The Rockets will lock horns against the Buccaneers on Monday at Mbombela Stadium in the DST Premiership.
The game is live on SuperSport PSL (channel 202).
“I didn’t notice that we are on a three-match unbeaten streak. We are not getting maximum points and we need maximum points to jump the table based on the position we are on the log,” Kwem explained.
The Nigerian is searching for that elusive victory against Pirates.
“Every game is difficult now. I haven’t beaten Orlando Pirates in my career. To come to the club that has beaten them once is a morale booster. We will try our best to go for the win,” he elaborated.
Kwem is in a rich vein of form in the current season.
“I just want to give all my glory to God and my teammates. They helped me during my trying times of injury. Now, that I’m back, they have given me their full support. I want to continue to do my best to help the team,” Kwem said.
He has netted five strikes in the new year across all the competition.
“They must come and support us because we need the 12th man,” Kwem explained.
The Rockets are in a relegation dogfight. They are 15th on the log with 23 points.
“I think, it might come to a thin margin. The goal difference might play a huge role in this relegation dogfight.” Kwem concluded.
