TS Galaxy will be striving for consistency in tomorrow’s DSTV Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium.
The two sides are brimming with confidence having won their previous matches.
The game will kickoff at 5pm and will be live on SuperSport. TS Galaxy marksman, Wayde Lekay is calling for consistency.
“It is a great feeling to win again and get three points after so many games without a win. It is going to be very key for us to go out there and show consistency against Pirates this coming Tuesday. It becomes very important for us to pick up three points because we don’t want to see ourselves in that last position once again,” Lekay detailed.
The Rockets thumped Maritzburg United 3-0 last week at Harry Gwala Stadium.
Lekay netted his second goal of the season last week.
“Scoring a goal always gives you an extra bit of confidence. It is about taking it and applying it to the next game. Obviously not getting big headed but ensuring that you still get in to good positions. I’m enjoying myself under coach, Owen. He told me from the first day that I need to get in to good areas. It’s been great under coach, Owen as well as coach, Shaun Bartlett helping the attackers to get in to good areas,” Lekay explained.
The Rockets are now 13th on the log after 12 league outings.
“It is hard to be at the bottom of the table. It is hard to deal with that feeling on a daily basis knowing that you are bottom but with the quality in the squad, we always knew that at some point we will be able to turn the table. With the great attitude and mindset, we will do it. That’s what the coach told us. Each and every one of us believed that. I believe that we will get out of that relegation zone. We will climb the table from here,” Lekay stated.
Pirates having been blowing hot and cold but Lekay doesn’t want to read too much in to that.
“I don’t believe that form determines anything. It is going to be a tough game. We all know that. It is going to take a lot for us to win that game. We have to go out there with the right mindset and forget about what are they doing and focus on ourselves. As soon as we can get in to the right areas and score the goals and play with a good mindset, it is there for the taking.” Lekay concluded.
