Marlon Heugh was pivotal for TS Galaxy last week when the Rockets upset Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium in the DStv Premiership and all eyes will be on him once again to replicate his heroics on Saturday, against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Rockets and Amakhosi are set for an epic encounter at the iconic Mbombela Stadium.
Both teams are on a quest to finish the season in the top eight.
Galaxy are 8th on the log with 35 points after 29 league outings while Chiefs are 9th with 33 points after an identical number of games.
“Yes, it is a vital game. This is for the top eight position. It is set up perfectly as we are all looking to finish in the top eight in the last game of the season. If we apply ourselves the way we applied ourselves against Pirates, I don’t think we will have an issue on Saturday. Our application is key,” Heugh explained.
He missed our previous encounter against Stellenbosch because of suspension.
“Our mentality needs to be the winning one. I think we do have that at the moment. We are doing pretty well. We need to be focused and get the results,” he added.
The Rockets are competing in their debut top-flight season.
“It will be a great achievement as a team if we can finish in the top eight. We want to compete in the MTN8. It is the easiest route to make money. As players, we would love to earn more money. It is a nice cup that we can win. It is only four games. It is the quickest route to make R8 million.” Heugh elaborated.
