Galaxy loses to Royal AM at home

TS Galaxy Football Club suffered a major setback this past weekend at the expense of Royal AM at the iconic Mbombela Stadium.

The Rockets succumbed to a 4-1 defeat. Victor Letsoalo netted the brace while Ndumiso Mabena and Mfundo Thikazi added another two for the visitors.

The Nigerian marksman Augustine notched up the consolation for Galaxy.

Galaxy remains in position number 15 in the DSTV Premiership with 18 points after 23 league outings.

Letsoalo broke the deadlock as early as the 26th minute with the header following an exquisite cross delivered by Zukile Mkhize on the right and side.

Five minutes later, Letsoalo doubled the lead for Thwihli Thwahlwa. He dispossessed Ethan Brooks in the middle of the part and then made a solo run to the box before beating Melusi Buthelezi on his far post.

Augustine Kwem pulled one back at the stroke of half-time from the penalty spot. He fouled brought down by Samuel Maganyi and dusted himself up to convert the spot.

Ndumiso Mabena made it three for the visitors with the well-taken free-kick from the edge of the box in the 63rd minute.

Mfundo Thikazi who came off the bench killed off the game in the added time. Galaxy will now face Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday night at FNB Stadium. The kickoff is at 7.30 pm.
