TS Galaxy FC marksman Augustine Kwem has warned his teammates to guard against complacency when they meet Kaizer Chiefs tonight at FNB Stadium in the DSTV Premiership.
Kwem netted the winner when these two sides met at the iconic FNB in the Nedbank Cup at the start of the year.
The Rockets emerged as 1-0 victors on the day.
“The fact that we’ve beaten them this season at FNB Stadium gives us confidence heading to this game but complacency should not creep in. We must just come out to better our performance,” Kwem explained.
The Rockets are in a relegation dogfight. They are 15th on the log.
“The game against Kaizer Chiefs is very key. We are coming off a very devastating loss. The victory will help us to get back to the race for survival. The game is key not to lose,” he added.
Galaxy suffered a 4-1 loss at Mbombela Stadium this past weekend at the expense of Royal AM.
“It is the time for us to switch on. The last time we defeated Chiefs we went on an unbeaten run of two games. This Chiefs game is going to be key.” Kwame elaborated.
The Nigerian has been very instrumental for the Rockets in front of goals in the new year.
He has bagged three strikes which makes him the top goal-scorer for the club in the new year.
