Galaxy climb the table in the DStv Premiership

TS Galaxy Football Club continued with their rich vein of form after dispatching SuperSport United 2-0 at the iconic Mbombela Stadium this past weekend.

The Rockets completed the double over the Tshwane giants in a space of a week following their famous victory on Wednesday against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Given Msimango finished with aplomb in the 44th minute. Aphelele Teto delivered an exquisite cross to the path of Msimango. The lanky defender rose the highest to put the Rockets in the lead with a thumping header.

Earlier in the match, Melusi Buthelezi kept the Rockets in the match with two crucial saves.

Galaxy headed to the interval leading 1-0. Teto was the provider again in the 65th minute when Ebrahim Seedat doubled the lead for TS Galaxy.

Buthelezi was having his best game between the sticks for Galaxy as he kept Bradley Grobler and Siyabonga Nhlapo at bay with two brilliant saves.

The Rockets held on for the maximum points and shot straight to the top of the log alongside Richards Bay FC with seven points after three games.

Galaxy will be on the road in the next two encounters where they will face Lamontville Golden Arrows and Chippa United respectively.
