TS Galaxy head coach Owen Da Gama is a happy man ahead of the 2021-22 DStv Premiership season.
The Rockets have been working feverishly preparing for the start of the new season over the past three weeks.
On the 22nd of August, TS Galaxy has a date with Kaizer Chiefs at the iconic Mbombela Stadium at 5pm.
Da Gama is impressed with the application shown by his troops in the pre-season.
“I’m happy with the team spirit and the amount of work that has been put in by the players,” Da Gama elaborated.
The Rockets spent the first week in Johannesburg and then traveled to Potchefstroom the following week.
The club benefited from the high-quality facilities of Potchefstroom and wrapped up the camp with a friendly match against Orlando Pirates at Royal Marang Hotel in Rustenburg.
“We are very happy with the preparations. Yes, there were some dampeners when some players tested positive for Covid-19.
“We’ve got two players now injured, Marlon Heugh and Given Msimango. Those are long-term injuries. In saying that, it is part of the game. Injuries are part of the game. The Covid-19 is part of our lifestyle. We just have to prepare as best as possible.” Da Gama explained.
