Da Gama is happy with the progress at Galaxy

TS Galaxy is blossoming under the tutelage of Owen “ODG” Da Gama.

As a result, more and more players are receiving national call-ups. The Rockets are well represented in the Cosafa Cup that is currently taking place in Gqeberha.

The club has the trio of Justice Figareido, Ethan Brooks and Masilake “Scara” Phohlongo who are all in the same group for their respective national teams.

Brooks and Phohlongo have dazzled in the colours of Bafana Bafana while Figareido has been instrumental for Eswatini.

Da Gama is over the moon by the growth of the Rockets.

“I’m proud of the boys. I’m happy for Brooks, Scara, and Figo. It goes to show that whatever we are doing at training, is helping the boys. But more importantly, it motivates the other players that if you do well, work hard and let football do the talking, you’ll go far,” Da Gama stated.

Macbeth “Killer” Mahlangu is the latest player to receive a national team call-up. Later this month, he will be competing at the Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan with South Africa.

“I’m proud of these boys. They don’t talk much. They talk with their feet and with the ball. That’s where you see them talking. That’s how I grew up in football. It is the boys who are humble, work hard, coachable, and always do the business. This is just a motivation to the rest of the players.” Da Gama elaborated.
