Brooks retains his Bafana Bafana place

TS Galaxy FC midfield maestro,Ethan Brooks, retained his place in the Bafana Bafana set-up.

On Tuesday, Hugo Broos announced his 34-man squad to face Ethiopia in back-to-back World Cup qualifiers next month.

Brooks was one of the standout performers for Bafana Bafana as they swept past Ghana by Bongokuhle Hlongwane’s solitary strike at the iconic FNB Stadium in Soweto.

After two games, Bafana are sitting comfortably at the summit of their group with four points.

Brooks played a pivotal role for Bafana Bafana in their previous encounter. Broos decided to retain his services.

He has been featuring consistently for the Rockets in the past few weeks. The new Bafana Bafana mentor is expected to trim his squad to 23 in a few weeks.

The senior national team hasn’t qualified for the World Cup since 2002 and the generation of Brooks look set to end that barren run.

Six points against Ethiopia will steer Bafana closer to Qatar where the World Cup will be held next year.
