TS Galaxy FC midfield maestro Ethan Brooks is excited to be called up to the Bafana Bafana setup once again.
Brooks was included in Bafana Bafana’s 23-man squad that will face Ethiopia in back-to-back World Cup qualifiers next month.
The 20-year-old played a pivotal role for Bafana Bafana as they dispatched Ghana 1-0 at the iconic FNB Stadium.
After two matches, Bafana are at the summit of the table with four points.
“It is always an honour and the privilege to be called for the national team. I’m just excited to go out there and show my talent,” Brooks explained.
Bafana Bafana shared the spoils with Zimbabwe in their opening game of the qualifiers in a 0-0 stalemate.
“It is important to go out there and win these back-to-back games against Ethiopia. It will keep us on top of the log in terms of us wanting to qualify. We must go out there and win those back-to-back games,” he added.
The Rockets are going through a torrid period in the DStv Premiership.
“It is the first five games and we haven’t started well. I have hope and so do the other guys that we can turn this around. It is just a change of mindset from everyone around here. Hopefully, we can turn things around this weekend.” Brooks elaborated.
Galaxy will lock horns against Sekhukhune United on Saturday at 3:30 pm. The game will be staged at Mbombela Stadium.
After five games, the Rockets are yet to register a victory.
