Bartlett is optimistic about the future

TS Galaxy FC interim head coach Shaun Bartlett is desperate to change the fortunes of the Rockets in the DStv Premiership.

After five games, the Rockets cut ties with Owen Da Gama. The club has endured some turbulent times in the current season.

Galaxy suffered three defeats and registered two stalemates. As a result, the club is at the foot of the table and winless after five games.

On Saturday, the Rockets will face Sekhukhune United at Mbombela Stadium at 3:30 pm.

The game is live on SuperSport and SABC 1.

“The only consolation for us is that it can’t get worse. We are in the last position and there’s no position lower than that. We have to make sure that we get ourselves out of that as soon as possible,” Bartlett explained.

Bartlett was assisting the departed Da Gama.

“I always say and maintain that in the PSL there’s always a mini-league where you have to play teams that are in a similar group like yourself. Those are the games that are six-pointers.

“When you beat those teams you get closer to where they are. It’s also getting yourself out of the relegation battle. For us, that’s the most important. We have to go out and win those games as quickly as possible.” Bartlett elaborated.

The Rockets have collected two points out of the possible 15 in the league this season.
