Mohammed Anas is a man on a mission. The new TS Galaxy marksman is hungry to bang in goals for his new side in the new season.
Anas joined the Rockets from Black Leopards in this transfer window market.
He has opened up about his target of notching up 15 league strikes.
“That is my aim since I came to the South African league. I want to win the Golden Boot. I’m capable. If you check the records from 2016, most of the Golden Boot winners have netted 15 league goals. Being around coach Shaun Bartlett, I believe that I’m capable this season. My target is to score 15 goals. Im working towards that goal,” Anas explained.
The Ghanian is already enjoying his journey with the Rockets.
“I’m enjoying the environment here at TS Galaxy. They are more like a family. You don’t find this in most clubs. The unity is massive here,” he added.
Last season, Galaxy missed out on the top eight because of the goal-difference in the last game of the season.
“Every team is always on top of their game in the first round. That’s why the second round is always difficult. If we can manage to get a lot of points in the first, I have no doubt that come the second round we will be in the top eight.” Anas elaborated.
He will be looking to open his account on debut when the Rockets entertain Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership on Sunday at Mbombela Stadium.
The game is live on SuperSport PSL (channel 202) at 5pm.
